(Assistenza Persone in Difficoltà).

The delivery of the vehicles was made possible thanks to the support of more than 40 companies in the territory of Pistoia and the two new equipped vans will be part of the vehicle fleet of the A.P.D. Association of Pistoia, which works in defense and support of the weakest people, providing transport services for people with disabilities and in need in Pistoia and in the territory of the province.

Among the authorities present at the ceremony were the Mayor Alessandro Tomasi and the Deputy Mayor Anna Maria Ida Celesti of Pistoia, the Mayor of Serravalle Pistoiese Piero Lunardi and representatives of the A.P.D. Association.

"Our association has been working for 15 years to help the weakest people - explains Rocco Perotta, President of the APD Association of Pistoia. We have never stopped, not even during the lockdown, when we gave our support to the territory activating ourselves with the delivery of medicines and shopping to people in difficulty. Now we have resumed operating at full capacity and these two new means will allow us to expand our margin of action and intervention. Day care centres, RSAs, elderly people in difficulty, disabled people or people with reduced mobility, our aim is to go and intervene where there is most need. For a small association like ours, which operates on a voluntary basis, having this equipment means a lot and we are grateful to the sponsors who have supported this initiative".

Present, representing Dife SpA, Lorenzo Romani, Head of Marketing:
"This donation meets the needs of the most vulnerable sections of the population. As a company, we want to be close to our territory and support it with concrete actions. This gesture of solidarity for us is a way of telling our community that we are there. From today Pistoia can count on new means for assistance and this makes us proud to have joined this initiative".
